Song

here, here, a toast for the girl who knew she was falling
here, here, for the girl who's own break-downs kept planning

You're supposed to learn from your mistakes,
not plan it all ahead,
but you kept playing it in your head
if you were gonna jump you had to know where you'd land.

and here i sit in my room, thinking what i'll say, what i'll think and what i'll do
here i go, i must know how the conversation is gonna go.
my reactions have been rehearsed over and over again.
Act surprised, now you cry, now you learn from your mistakes.

here, here, a toast for the girl who knows better but wants to keep tumbling
and here, here a toast for the guy who stayed by her side and helped beck up, tho she also knew this was coming.

here, here, a toast coz he knew how wrong this all was and not even once said "i told you so"
here, here a toast coz if i fall he'll catch me, no matter how dumb i act.
here, here....

In a time where all privacy has been overcome by curiosity and real life is just not amusing enough to keep track of it, we drown ourselves in oddities, fantasy, fiction, and, why not? the internet. To a generation that is way too into used to having information blown into their minds without having enough to analyze it and their kids, who can process it and forget about it in three seconds, my family might not be the most interesting thing of all, but that´s the only thing i really want to talk about right now.

There´s really nothing particular about us, however I've always wanted everyone to know everything without me having to tell them, i figure out the easiest way to achieve this is by writing my story and background and what i think, if anyone ever cares to get to know me they´ll have just have to read it.

i was born in the state's capital, a city called Mexicali, but my story starts almost fifty years before i was born, when my grandmother got married for the first time.

Grandma was probably the bravest woman who step foot on earth, but she had no superpowers, she wasn't under any spell, and most of all she wasn't rich. She was born in a small town in Sinaloa, a state south from here. When she was young the married a wealthy man who loved her and cared for her, and they had two kids: Emilio and Guadalupe. But tragedy knocked on her door and her husband died while she was still pregnant with the second kid.

Her husband´s family was never pleased that she had gotten married with their relative and when he died they wanted to keep their heritage to themselves, not caring about the widow nor the kids and how they would manage by themselves.

The night grandma decided to leave that town was when she was threatened by those people who wanted to scare her away; she almost killed one of them, she might have, actually, but never told us, anyway. She was alone with Emilio and pregnant with Lupe when someone started ranting around the house hitting the walls she asked who that was but no one answered so she took out her gun and fired to the door.

Quixoted

im still outside in the rain
waiting for you.
my armor is getting rusty,
and my hope is almost dead.

My princess was once guarded by a dragon
my princess was once under a spell,
i tried so hard to rescue her
i ended up dying as well.

im still outside the door of the castle,
im still waiting...
But nothing will ever change,
nothing ever does.
